Wyatt Hummel is the Director of Baseball at ATHX Performance, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep passion for the sport. A standout player for the Okanagan College Coyotes from 2015 to 2019, Wyatt played a pivotal role in leading the team to a League Championship in 2018. He continues to hold the program’s single-season ERA record, a testament to his talent and impact on the field. Wyatt’s baseball career extended beyond college play, as he competed in the West Coast League for the Kelowna Falcons during the 2018 and 2019 seasons. His dedication to the game also saw him playing for the Welland Jackfish in the Intercounty Baseball League in 2022. These experiences provided Wyatt with a well-rounded perspective on both competitive and developmental baseball.

In addition to his playing career, Wyatt served as a Pitching Coach for The Okotoks Dawgs Baseball Academy from January to June of 2022, further developing his coaching abilities and commitment to player development. With a strong foundation in both playing and coaching, Wyatt is passionate about fostering athletic growth, helping players reach their full potential, driving excellence in the baseball community, and moving athletes on to the next level of their academic and baseball careers.

Tanner Kirwer is the Assistant GM and Hitting Coordinator with the ATHX Redhawks. Tanner is a former professional baseball player with extensive experience at the collegiate and professional levels.

Tanner's collegiate baseball career was at Niagara University, where he earned a scholarship to play NCAA Division I baseball while completing a degree in Business Marketing. Following his college career, Tanner was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the MLB Draft as an outfielder and spent five years in the organization, advancing as high as Double-A.

Tanner later joined the Seattle Mariners organization, where he continued his professional career for two seasons and reached Triple-A. His experiences competing at the highest levels of professional baseball provided him with a deep understanding of the preparation, discipline, and commitment required to succeed in the game.

After his playing career, Tanner transitioned into coaching, bringing the knowledge and experience gained throughout his professional career to the development of young athletes. He works with players on both the physical and mental aspects of the game, emphasizing fundamentals, preparation, confidence, and the habits required to reach the next level.

Evan Bourassa is the Player Development Coordinator at ATHX Performance, bringing a strong background in both competitive baseball and player development. With experience as both a player and coach, Evan has built a reputation for creating competitive environments that challenge athletes to improve every day.

Evan’s playing career was highlighted by multiple provincial championships with the St. Albert Cardinals, winning titles in 2013, 2015, 2018, and 2019. He continued that success as a coach, helping the Cardinals capture a provincial championship in 2022 and assisting Zone 5 to a gold medal at the 2025 Alberta Zone Championships.

Since concluding his playing career, Evan has continued to develop as a coach through his work with the St. Albert Development Program. His experience in the program helped him develop a strong passion for drill design, skill development, and creating intentional training environments that maximize every opportunity an athlete has to improve.

As Player Development Coordinator, Evan focuses on helping athletes maximize their time and potential on the field. His knowledge of the catching position, combined with his emphasis on fundamentals, preparation, and skill development, provides valuable insight to athletes throughout the program.

Evan is passionate about building a culture where athletes and coaches push one another, embrace competition, and commit to getting better every single day.
