ATHX 13U/15U/18U BASEBALL

WHERE DEDICATED YOUTH PLAYERS TRAIN TO ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS

"My son is in their baseball program and it is the best program we have ever been in. He loves the program, is always ready to go (he’s 13) to the 4 sessions a week. He is playing less video games, eating better, getting 9-10 hrs sleep, and his marks have improved immensely! Derek, Coach Nolan and team are not only helping him grow as an athlete but as a well rounded human!"

THE ATHX ACADEMY MODEL

The ATHX program combines 20 years of sport development experience and elite coaching with state-of-the-art technology and innovative training to help our players succeed both on and off the field.

Our Academy Model is built to develop the five tools of baseball that great players possess and professional scouts look for:

SPEED

Players with good speed can leg out extra base hits, steal bases, and track down fly balls in the outfield.

ARM STRENGTH

Pitchers with strong arms can deliver the ball with velocity and movement, while infielders can make plays from deep in the hole.

FIELDING

Good fielders have good range, soft hands, and a quick first step.

HITTING FOR AVERAGE

Hitters who can consistently put the ball in play and reach base is an asset to any team.

HITTING FOR POWER

Hitters with good power can drive the ball into the gaps and over the fence for extra-base hits.

18U ACADEMY TEAM

The 18U Academy Team is a full-year training and travel program aimed at players who strive to play baseball at a high level, and are committed to working year-round on their skills. The program is designed to focus on the athlete's needs as individual players to help them excel in the game and attract post-secondary baseball opportunities.

The team will train and practice 11 months out of the year and attend multiple out-of-town tournaments and exhibition games against other Academy programs such as Going Yard, Okotoks and Webber.

The 18U program is divided into 2 blocks. There will be open registration for September and all players will train 5-6 days per week from September – end of December.
